NeuroTV has designed, developed and successfully deployed a number of interactive TV applications on multiple middleware (Media Highway, IPTV, DVB-MHP, OpenTV, …).
Our portfolio of ITV projects includes:
Electronic Program Guide - Navigator Originally developed for Be tv (formerly Canal+ Belgium), the application encompasses the whole navigation functions including a zap banner display with content information and a progress bar, a pilot with detailed information on the current and next (up to 6) programs on every channels, a zap helper and a complete full-screen program guide with various views and search facilities.
The application also manages user preferences and allows an easy and fast navigation based on the subscriber’s current valid rights (no more black screens). A simple messaging mechanism has been added to the zap banner for the broadcaster to instantly send messages and information to all or some viewers on one or several channels. EPGMux, our optimized EPG multiplexing software ensures fast and reliable acquisition, formatting (in Private or in EIT data format) and multiplexing of programs information.
Video on Demand and Pay Per View
For Java-based set-top boxes, IPTV boxes or even touch-screen Windows-based clients, NeuroTV has developed several Video on Demand and Pay per View applications that can be easily deployed and maintained on small to medium-size infrastructures. Ideal for hospitality, internal TV distribution or even on a yacht, our systems can be easily tailored and customized to fit any specific requirements. A TV-centric simplified page browser can be added to give access local information services. Specific integration possibilities also include the management and display of live TV programs, billing information or e-mail access. NeuroTV has developed a web-based (XML) interactive VOD service platform handling on-demand VOD metadata, content automated ingest, distribution, VOD user profiling and interactive transactions. This platform includes a shopping cart concept. A simple editing tool (EdiTV) is available for local information quick and easy update.
